2. Scope
This policy covers the ZOPIO mobile application that we prepare for distribution, our public website at https://www.zopio.com, contact and support flows, account-related flows, notifications if enabled, and services that link to this policy.
If a future app release, listing, product screen, or consent prompt describes more specific data practices, read it together with this policy. Before a production release, we will update this page and our Google Play Data safety answers so they match the app's actual features, SDKs, permissions, and data flows.
3. Information We May Collect
Depending on the services you use and the features enabled in the app, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, phone number, company name, account identifiers, login identifiers, and authentication-related records.
- Profile, business, and app content: settings, preferences, business information, messages, requests, files, documents, images, or other content you choose to submit to an app feature, website form, support channel, or account.
- Support and communications: contact form submissions, email messages, replies, ticket details, feedback, and metadata needed to respond.
- Device, app, browser, and network information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device model, app version, language, approximate location inferred from IP address, timestamps, pages/screens viewed, referrer, diagnostics, crash or error information if enabled, security logs, and cookie/session identifiers.
- Notifications: push notification tokens, delivery status, notification preferences, and related technical identifiers if you enable notifications or if the app uses push messaging.
- Transactions: payment, subscription, invoice, purchase, entitlement, or billing metadata if a paid feature or checkout is enabled. Payment card details may be processed by payment providers and may not be stored by us unless explicitly stated in a product flow.
4. Sensitive Device Permissions
Our generic pre-release policy is that we do not intentionally collect precise GPS location, phone contacts/address book, SMS or call logs, microphone audio, camera/photo library, files, health data, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or an inventory of installed apps unless a specific feature asks for it, the app or platform presents the required notice/permission, and the data is needed for the feature you choose to use.
5. How We Use Information
We may use information to provide, operate, secure, test, improve, and troubleshoot our app and website; create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; provide support; respond to messages; send service-related notifications; personalize basic preferences; maintain logs; prevent abuse, fraud, spam, and security incidents; comply with law; maintain business records; and administer subscriptions or transactions when those features exist.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and hosting providers may use essential cookies or session identifiers to keep the website working, maintain security, remember language/session choices, submit forms, and protect email addresses from scraping. If we add analytics, advertising, or optional tracking cookies, we will disclose and configure them as required.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we disclose that practice and provide any legally required controls.
We may share information with service providers that help us run the app, website, hosting, databases, cloud infrastructure, authentication, email, notifications, analytics or diagnostics if enabled, customer support, payment processing if enabled, security, logging, and administration. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights/safety/security, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets with legally appropriate notice.
8. Third-Party Services and SDKs
The app or website may use third-party services such as app stores, operating-system services, hosting providers, Odoo/Odoo.sh, Cloudflare, Firebase/Google services, email providers, payment providers, analytics or crash-reporting tools if enabled, and support tools. These providers may process technical and usage information according to their roles and their own privacy notices.
We are responsible for making sure our Google Play Data safety form, this policy, in-app disclosures, permissions, and SDK configuration stay consistent for each app release.
9. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data. These may include HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls, credential and key handling practices, logging, backups, provider security controls, and limiting access to people and providers who need information for their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the app and related services, maintain accounts, respond to support requests, meet legal/tax/accounting/security obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and context. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
11. Account and Data Deletion
If the app allows account creation, we will provide a way to request deletion from inside the app and a web-based way outside the app before production release. Until a dedicated deletion page is published, you can request deletion or access by emailing [email protected]. We may need to retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax/accounting, dispute handling, backups, or legitimate business records.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Turkey, California, and other jurisdictions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or appeal/review of certain decisions. To exercise a right, contact [email protected].
For GDPR/UK GDPR purposes, we will identify the relevant controller or processor role for each product or customer relationship. For California residents, this policy is intended as a notice of categories of personal information we may collect, the business purposes for collection/use, the categories of service providers or third parties described above, and our statement that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we disclose it and provide required choices.
13. Children
Our generic pre-release app and website are not intended for children under 13 or for children where a higher age threshold applies. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14. International Processing
We are based in the United States and may use providers, infrastructure, and personnel in the United States, European Economic Area, Turkey, and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our app, website, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law or platform policy. The latest version will remain available at https://www.zopio.com/privacy-policy.
